Vacation Review Part 2

Today we go to South Dakota. This is where I went on vacation last year. This might sound hard to believe, but I actually thought South Dakota was more beautiful than Alaska. From Rapid City, where I stayed, there are several different areas to go see. I've included pictures below. They aren't very good, because I held the snapshots up in front of my digital camera. But they are good enough to get the idea.

The first day I was in South Dakota, it was just a great day outside. The sky was clear and blue. The air was warm, but dry. It felt like an October day here. I get back to the hotel that night, turn on the news and this is what I hear. Anchor: "Boy, it was a hot one out there today. I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come this summer." Weather guy: "We actually set a record today of 102 degrees. And it felt like it." I sat at the end of the bed and thought, "What? It was 102 today?" Those people don't know hot. Two days later, the high was in the 50's and it was June.

Oh and in the Badlands, I ran into some people from Scottsboro. What are the chances?
