There She Is, Ms. Albertville Nursing Home

Sorry that my posts haven't been as frequent as usual. I've been and still am under the weather.

Today we went to Anniston to tell the story about Fort McClellan. It closed because of the last round of BRAC in 1995. Parts of the Fort are being turned into some really nice houses and office space. Others areas look like something from after the apocalypse. Buildings are just frozen, sitting there. There is a Burger King on base that looks down right spooky. We drove through the drive thru just for the fun of it.

Tonight, I also was the Master of Ceremonies for the Ms. Albertville Nursing Home Pageant. It was fun. There were only 4 ladies in it. The winner turned 90 today. I told a joke at the beginning to kind of warm the crowd up. It fell a little flat. I said that I hoped this pageant goes better than some of the others I've done. Maybe tonight there won't be any angry Mom's and Dads. I thought it was funny.
