Don't Miss the Season Finale of NewsChannel 19
This past week everytime I turn on the TV, all hear is Season Finale this and Season Finale that. I got to thinking, maybe the TV News business should work the same way.
We already roll out big things for the ratings periods like the TV shows do. So why not just take it a step farther? We would work from September to May. Then on the last night of ratings in May we would have a really big 10pm show with a cliffhanger. Then we'd come back the following September.
I've got the promo for the finale already written. Just imagine the TV and Movie voice guy:
Wednesday Night. They are a team. Night and Day they hit the streets of the Tennessee Valley covering the news that matters to you. But that's about to change. One of these NewsChannel 19 reporters will be buried alive. If you think you've guessed the ending to this one, guess again. The explosive and emotional Season Finale of NewsChannel 19, Wednesday, May 25th at 11/10 Central.
OK, maybe not. Hey, at least with us you won't get any reruns this summer.

Actually you'd be the perfect person to have buried alive. Then in the fall, after plastic surgery, we'd have someone new take over the role of Jeff Butera.
